My 2010 was a roller coaster ride, good times and some bad times!

I have so many things to share about my life, my business, and changes in my career!

SO I am not sure were to begin!

New designs for the Hair Fashion Show on July 31st.

The theme is a WWII and 1940's. Which is right up my alley! I found alot of vintage broken jewelry over the weekend in downtown Savannah and I can not wait too take those broken piece and make them into beautiful new pieces for the show!

I am so excited about a upcoming photo shoot I am working on for this month. It will be a mermaid scene and I get to design the original headpiece. Which means I am getting to be really creative and alittle over the top! LOVE IT!! The team that is working on this is amazing! Melissa Hebert has a great photography style, the makeup and hair is being done by Erica Adams..her work is fantastic! The special garment is being designed by my good friend Olive J Page, and independant designer. This will be a one of a kind art piece that I cant wait to see, I know it will blow me away!! The scene will be set by Heather Ivady with Social Butterfly Event..It will be rockin!! Also the model is Hannah Beth, this will be the first time I get to work with her and I cant wait..she will make a beautiful Mermaid!! I am so excited about this project...And keep checking back for the pictures...I will be sure to take behind the scene pictures to share with everyone too!!!

Well its the first day of summer vacation here at my house. School has ended, and it was a great but very busy year. Both boys did fantatstic this year! So they both deserve some time off. I have a lot of things on my plate, which will keep me busy this summer. So juggling the boys and work will be tough, but I will figure it out!

I have worked on some new pieces that have shells, freshwater pearls, summer colors. I get inspired by the beach and summer colors. Speaking of shells, I am also working on a projects is a photo shoot and the theme is mermaid, and it will not be your typical mermaid...move over Arial! The team is amazing, the photographer is Melissa Hebert, www.melissahebert.com and the hair and makeup is going to be done by the amazing Erica Adams, www.nsalosalon.com and the unique one of a kind outfit the mermaid is going to be wearing will be designed by Olive J Page, website is being worked on you find her on facebook. I am of course doing the headpiece design, and I have helped pulled this together. Right now I am working on getting a set designer, Heather Ivady of www.socialbutterflyeventsnc.com to do it! It will be a very creative, over the top, artistic photo shoot. Keep eyes out for pictures to come!!

So the summer is off to a great start...and that is what up today!!!

I have been fortunate to have my designs at Ziabird(http://www.ziabird.com/) since October, and it has be a wonderful experience to work with Lynn and the other ladies at Ziabird. My designs have been selling and that makes me happy. But I have some other places that are interested in selling my designs. So I have been thinking of some different items to offer. These little flower hairpins that I made as a give~a~way at a recent bridal event, have been a hit. So I think I may do them in sets of 3 in many colors, solids and prints..

During a recent photo shoot, we had a little fun with alot of the little hairpins, and Tara...what do you think???

I would like to start a new series of blogs called "Whats Up Wednesday!" On each Wednesday I will write about, show pictures of either things that I am working on, or have designed and ready to sell...or just what is on my mind! Hope you will check back each week, to see WHATS UP!

I had the pleasure to work with a bride named, Haylee. She had a peacock vintage themed wedding. It was held in a old theater and the marque had the bride & grooms name on it, very cool! She came to me looking for a vintage style hat and we put our heads together and came up with a beautiful tear drop hat coverd with feathers and handmade fabric flowers, french veiling and rare white peacock feathers. That wasn't all , she also wanted to have something different for her reception so we came up with a silk teal colored flower comb with peacock feathers. One of my favorite photographers, Rachel with Millie Holloman Photography took the pictures. I am so lucky they sent me copies! So I wanted to share with you!!

Big week for JMDesigns!!

Cameron Art Museum Wedding Open House was great, met lovely brides, saw some old & new friends that are wonderful vendors, and got to met some new vendors also! There was beautiful table displays and a awesome candy bar by my friends ,Social Butterfly LLC, you need to check them out at http://www.socialbutterflyeventsnc.com/ Heather and Charyl are the best at what they do from decor, planning, invitations & more. They bring your vision to life at any special event!!

Look at how yummy that candy bar it! They can bring that to any party! With all the yummy treats you want!!

And yesterday was so exciting I had a photo shoot for my headpieces to submit to the Brides Book for the Fall issue, YEAH! The shoot was FANTASTIC and everyone that helped out was amazing!! I want to thank Michelle Butler with http://www.keepsakemp.com/ and founder of Trendy Bride http://www.trendybride.net/, for spending the day with me and taking 500 pictures. I can not wait to see the final pictures. One of the Derby style hats I have created for the Hat Social...This beautiful silver hat can be created in many other colors, such as Black, Blue, Pale Blue, Red, Purple, Orange, Brown, and of course White and Ivory...The fabric sash and rosettes will be coordinating colors and the lovely peacock feathers come in all colors, (only white when in season) Or I can do two tone, you can help me create your own original hat!

This day always make me think of my Nana, I miss her so much! She was such a big part of my life, she would share stories of Ireland, and Irish traditions. And on this day I make her Holiday Soda Bread, which is what she called it. It is the best and everyone loves it! There is a wonderful Irish Blessing she always told us and I would love to share........

I have so many thank you's, and I am not doing them in any type of order. So this week I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to my friend, helper, and my etsy girl, NINA! If it wasn't for Nina I would not have gotten my Etsy shop going. It was a big job to load all the pictures and add the descriptions, and she took time from her family to help me. And here is a picture of the first sale, first of many I HOPE! But besides helping with etsy, she helps with my events, jumps in an gets on the sewing machine and even has helped me clean out my emails, most of all she keeps me calm when I need it :) ! We have been good friends for many years, our sons played basketball when they were in second grade and now they are in middle school together. I cherish our friendship and am so thrilled we can work together too! Thank you Nina! I appreciate all you do!

My very first thank you for "Thank You Thursday" has to go to a wonderful, talented, & caring photographer named Millie Holloman. I have known Millie for some time now, we met along time at a bridal event that she was photographing at a store I worked in Camille La Vie. After that we would run into each other on and off, but it wasn't till Millie contacted me because she heard I made birdcage veil and she really wanted to have one for models during her Love Affair Workshops. I jumped at the offer to help out, my rewards have been wonderful pictures and friendship with her. So since then, I have helped out in 2 other workshops, and hope to do more. Millie business has grown so much, I admire her so much. She maybe younger than me, but I look up to her in many ways. She now has a fantastic team of photographers, I have been fortunate to have received pictures from them too. Its a very talented bunch over there at MHP!

I have wanted to start these series of blogs for awhile now. I am so thankful and blessed for all the people that help me, supported me and just cheered me on. Like family, friends, photographers, store owners, old managers, other vendors, I can go on and on. So I though what a great way to express how I feel about all these wonderful people is to pick someone each week to write about them and how they helped me or just how I feel. Also it is a great way to share about there business and spread the word for them too!

To start this week I will just say a simple THANK YOU to my very supportive, understanding, and loving husband!! He is always there to help me, trust me he has cut, glued, typed, and tied plenty, more times than I am sure he would have liked. But most of all he is such a devoted father to my two wonderful boys, that with all his help with them, I could not do what I do!!

So keep checking back every Thursday, I will do my best to keep this up.....I have so many people to share, I will need a year of Thursdays!!!

I was asked to do headpiece, it was put with a beautiful gown found at Fountaine's Bridals. I am looking forward to the New Year!! I will be making some changes, but for the better! You know sometimes you have to do what is best for yourself, to be the best at what you do...if that makes sense! I will continue designing and creating, but I will be moving back to working at home. But I am here for all my brides and clients, and always will be. Looking forward to some new doors opening this year.

Coffee and the Sunday Paper!!

It is so great to wake up on Sunday, have a cup of coffee and look through the paper. It is even better to come across a picture that has something you designed in a really cool picture. In today's paper was a free Wilmington Magazine, winter 2009/2010 issue, in it was was a FABULOUS fashion layout titled 'Mad' Season, and on page 32 one of my headpieces that is located at Ziabird was in the picture. WOOHOO! The blond lady is wearing a sparkly silver flower with silver feather comb. Very cool! it is only $50. and so fun. This layout was photographed by Leslie Koehn and styled by her and Robin Hertzog. I just love working with all the stylist and photographer here in Wilmington, such talented and creative people. I get inspired everyday as I look through all the local publication. I have been so busy getting settled into Fountaine's with Lindsay, but it has be fantastic!! We did the Bridal Expo together, and our runway models were the best! We got so much great feedback and praise, I was so happy all the hard work payed off. Since that the store has been so busy, we have met wonderful brides, and we are pleased to make them very happy. Lots of new items and services are coming to the shop, with Lindsay help, we have been creating alot of new designs, which will be great for brides, there bridesmaids, friends and more......! Our goal or you say our mission is to make each and every bride feel so special, look there best, and not to have any worries about wedding day look!! The beautiful Fountaine models are June and Jennifer, they look amazing! The gowns are by Allure Bridals and they are available at the store, and so are the accessories which are designed by JMD and also available at the store...isn't that tulle boa fantastic....come by the store and try it on!!!!

I have wonderful news, I have moved my business from home to a beautiful bridal shop here in Wilmington! The store has been know for wonderful customer service, and that is very important to me! I will be onsite to working with brides to come up with there custom designs, which I love to do. I am very excited to be in Fountaine and working closely with the store owner Lindsay to make this the BEST BRIDAL SHOP in town, to fit all your bridal needs.

Yesterday she had her largest fashion show in Savannah, Ga and unfortunatly I was unable to attend, but I got to send some of my headpieces....She called last night and was soooo happy and said everyone one loved her designs and my headpieces! I will always remember this day, my son was less than a month old and I was giving him a bottle and watching the Today Show. Saw it happen as everyone else did and I froze, then called my mom and asked her is this real? From that moment on, the rest of the day I was glued to the tv and called as many people I know that could have been affected. Finding out as close as my sister-in-laws brother happened to be late to work that day, thank god! He was one of the people walking over the bridges to get away from the destruction. I will always take a minute to breath and thank god for my family being safe, and hope each year the families of the people that died on this day will find it alittle easier and have less sadness. Prayers to those families!

Once again I was honored to create headpieces for the Love Affair Workshop. It was hosted by Millie Holloman, Lauren Clark, Kelly Moore and Davina Fear, and it was held in Atlanta. Millie's studio manager, Amanda and I were talking before hand about doing a top hat, so this is what I came up with. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought the pictures would come out so FANTASTIC.....The beautiful model is Meggie Low Velasco, she rocked it!!!!

A wonderful bride from Raleigh came to me and asked if I could take some of her grandma's vintage earrings and brooches and make them into fascinators for her bridesmaids. The wedding theme is a old southern style with a British twist. The bride is from the south and the groom is from England, so they wanted to have both background's represented. The British love to wear hats, fascinators with feathers to special events and occasions, and having the brides grandma's old jewelry, it brings it all together. I am also making beautiful feathers combs for the bride's mom, groom's mom and her friend. This has been a very rewarding project, I really love making something old new again!! So here is what I came up with!

I am so sorry about not posting in awhile! I have taken some time off to do some renovations to my home, getting ready for a big party for my son who is making his 1st Holy Communion this Sat, and just catch up and organize. Also I have enjoyed my son's baseball, we have spent alot of time at the ballpark. The most important thing about this time is to catch up with my boys, I work so much and time just fly's by and they are growing up so fast so I have to remind myself to stop and enjoy them!

Things have been kinda slow on the wedding front, so takin some time to myself is a good thing, cause I will get regenerated. I have lots of new ideas so in the weeks ahead will give me the time to create!! I will be getting ready for some new designs, and take the time to add to my etsy shop, which I have not done a thing with , sorry :( Please keep checking back with me in the next month or two, and see some new designs!!

How excited am I to think I maybe working with a bride in Australia. I got a very nice email the other day from someone that was inquiring about a vintage style hat for her friend that was getting married. Was I suprised to see that the inquiry came form Australia, wow so far! I have worked with many people from all over the US, but not that far! I was interested on how she found me and it was done by a google search, glad to know it really works. Most of my business has been through word of mouth, and working with all the fantastic photographers as far away as Utah. So we are currently working out the details, it is a whole other world, figuring out money conversation and shipping. But I would be so honored to work with her, I hope it will come to be. Also with writing back in fourth with Ms Sheree, she may want me to design a hat for her when she goes to the Melbourne Cup, which is like us going to the Kentucky Derby, it is all about horses, fashion and HATS!!

Last year, my friends mom gave me a bunch of furniture fabric swatches (ya know what you look at when picking out a sofa etc.) the store was going to be thrown away due to closing. It is all different fabric, some silk, linen, twill. I finally came up with something to do with it, make really cool headbands, and totes. In May I will be doing "The New Deal", and I thought these will be really neat to sell...

It is a beautiful morning in NC, but a little chilly. Yesterday was stormy and even some tornado touchdown, so I worked in my studio on some ideas for a photographer Jenna Henderson,(www.jhendersonstudios.com) she is doing a "Trash the Dress" with one of her brides and she wanted a birdcage and a comb with peacocks. I love peacocks feathers! The brides has beautiful red hair, and Jenna thought peacock feathers would look great against red hair. I just found a great fundraising event in one of our local publications "Focus on the Coast" called The New Deal. It is an event that brings local vendors to sell and give back to the community in helping DREAMS Center of Art Education (http://www.dreamswilmington.org/) The funds will help expand the program and reach out to more children and share art with them!! A great store in Downtown Wilmington, Edge of Urge's owner Jessie Williams is holding this event, and looking for vendors. I got a email for the bride, she said her mom is so excited and loved it, and would not take it off. I wrote back and said "after wedding she should wear it to clean the house" When a bride buys a tiara or headpiece they really love, why can't they wear it to clean! Once a princess always a princess even with rubber gloves!!

Wishing everyone the Luck of the Irish!

This day means alot to me, I think of my Nana. She came to the states from Ireland when she was only 18years. She always shared stories of Ireland. She lived with us growing up so every weekend I would hear Irish music coming from her little portable radio that barely could be tuned in, but the Irish music came in clear! I miss sharing this day with her and my whole family. I have lots of cousins in Pearl River, NY that we would celebrate with. Go to the parade and have wonderful food. Since moving to NC, I try to keep some of the same traditions, but is not the same.

Recently I went back to being a bridal consultant with David's Bridal in Wilmington, NC. I still am working hard at building my business, but in these hard economical times extra income is good! But also I really love the one on one with brides and it is also a way of keep me in with current trends in the bridal world! I will never sway a bride from the wonderful products that Davids have to offer. My own bride are looking for something different than what they might find at Davids.

I wanted to share a story about a bride I had yesterday. She was so wonderful, it was such a pleasure to work with her and her mom. She keep saying to me "I will know the ONE", "it will be so emotional when she finds the ONE!" Well we went through many styles she of course looked so beautiful in all of them, so it was starting to get difficult to pick. She loved them all, but she didnt get that feeling of it being "THE ONE!" Well I pulled out one gown, that had some things that she like from other gowns, and her mom was looking through the catalog one last time and came across it too. I helped her get into it, and I stepped out of the fitting room first and she followed and when she first saw herself in the mirror, she started to CRY! For all the years that I have been selling dress(5yr) I have never got a reation as emotional as that one! This once again reminds me why I love what I do!!! How a bride looks on her wedding day is so special, and how lucky am I to be a part of that!

I have been busy visiting with my oldest and greatest friend Angela and her teenage daughters. We had a great time, shopping for prom dresses, we checked out UNC of Chapel Hill and UNC Pembroke, and we went to Screen Gem Studios for a tour of One Tree Hill, and even went down to Wrightsville Beach to put our feet in the cold water. It was so great to be with them, I will be very sad to bring them to the airport tomorrow! Love ya girls! And I will miss you so Much!!!

My son was honored with the "Student of the Week Award" from a local radio station Jammin 99.9. Belinda Keller a morning DJ came to his school and interrupted the class to present the award. He looked as if he may be in trouble, but of course he is a great kid and never gets in trouble, so that is why he was shocked to say the least. He received a beautiful plaque and and neat bag full of a tee shirts, tickets for basketball and baseball game(which he loved) and a free pizza. I am soooooo proud of my son, he has been on the honor roll this whole year so far. He is in his first year of middle school and adjusted to well. No words can express how lucky I am to have such a wonderful son!

Have been a little behind in posting on my blog, so sorry! I have alot on my plate. I have been working with some wonderful brides, designing there headpieces and jewelry, so many exciting new styles, I will post pictures asap. I also have my "Mommy PTA Hat" on these days too, I have been finishing desinging my son's elementary school yearbook. It is a big deal for the school, each year it gets better and better. This is my 1st year in charge of it, and I really want to to do my best... So too top off all this, I went back for David's Bridal in Wilmington, I worked there 3yrs ago and found out they needed a bridal consultant, and I really love sell gowns, so I was lucky to have my job back. These designs were inspired by my love of the peacock! Now I have to say I am really afraid of birds, don't like to be anywhere need our feather friends, but I love see a peacock from a far. I just got a email from Southern Wedding, and they added my name to the post about the bride Megan, I made her beautiful vintage style hat for her wedding. I am so happy they did that for me. It is great blog for any new bride or just someone that loves "anything bridal"...There have launched a new magazine, and I will be on the hut to purchase it. There are so many beautiful picture in it. Finally, getting back to what I love too do, create something for a wonderful bride. I am working on a flower headpiece, look it's red, my favorite color. This bride is renewing her vows on Valentine's Day and is wearing a ivory dress w/red sash and in the back it is tied in a kimono style bow, love it! She will also will be wearing a bandeau style birdcage veil, and I am adding small swarovski clear crystals. As you see this is the early stages, I will post a picture of it when is is complete.

A FASHION STATEMENT........

I watched the inauguration all day, and had many emotions, one; HOPE~secondly;JOY~and most of all LOVE for Michelle's outfits. Being that I love fashion and currently a unknown in the fashion world, which is my dream to be famous( I am dreaming big). I am very happy for the two relatively unknown designers that created the beautiful outfits the First Lady wore today.
The beautiful yellow sheath dress with sparkle, by designer Isabel Toledo, she looked so smart and regal and it was a great way to start the day. I believe she was saying with that elegant suit, the White House needs to have a new and bright outlook for the days to come.....Now the Ball Gown, love it, I can see a remake coming down the bridal runways! I loved it, she looked so glamorous in this white chiffon one shoulder gown that was designed by a 26 year, Jason Wu. All I can say, you go Jason. So much talent at 26 yrs old, I admire that in a big way! I can't wait to see the days ahead to see what First Lady Michelle Obama will wear. I love that she is giving these small town designers a big town to design for!

"Miracle on the Hudson"

What a miracle it was! My thought and prayers go out to the survivors of the Flight 1549 yesterday! What an experience, something that will be with them always! I flew in Nov on the same type of plane from Laguardia Airport, and it was the first time I was in a plane since before 911 and I was calm, I had my Twilight book to keep me company. It was a pleasant flight, but I did start thinking about how small the airport is, and it has alot of water around it. But I got home safely. Now looking at all the news and pictures of yesterday, I am wondering how I would have been throught this horrible crash. Those passagers are amazing and I am very happy for all of them and there family!

And what do I say.....How do you spell hero....."SULLY". What a humble hero, Pilot Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger of Ca. You are the best! Your co-pilot deserves and a big thank you too. I hope the next time I fly......you will be the pilot!

Wii Fit to the rescue!

I have like all of you started off the new years saying, it is time to get fit and make a change, and loose weight. In the past, I start out each year saying all these things too, but ya know didnt stay motivated. Although this last year I had so many people around me getting sick and just not taking care of themselves, and having to rely on medication to fix there risen cholesterol, it has scared me! So Santa was very nice this year and brought our family the Wii Fit and today was my day to start! I really enjoyed it. and I can't wait to get on it again. I made my little "mii" which was way more plump than I would like, so all the more incentive to change that. As I drop pounds and get fit, my little "Mii" will too. I ate healthy today, which is a big key for me, and NO MORE ICE CREAM! This journey will be tough, but I have done it before and will again. My 25th high school reunion is in July and no way will I go like this! I will keep you posted on my progress............Good Luck to all of you that are going on the same journey as me, or should I say "Mii"!!!

Hi ALL! Sorry for not posting lately....Been alittle crazy, the holiday's wrapping up, family visiting, now finishing my son's school elementary yearbook. I am the editor this years yearbook for Eaton Elementary, it is my 1st year in charge. Although being on the staff for the last 3 years and I am still worried about doing a good job. But I'm really excited about how it is going so far this year. But I have to say it has been alot of work. I received over 4,000 pictures from my staff and parents. Our school has such a HUGE parent participation, so I have so much to work with! I wish I could post pictures of the pages that I have designed so far, but I don't think the kids parents would appreciate it, ya know posting pic's of kids and internet without permission...not good!
ANYWAY because this busy time, I have taken some time away from my work, so next week BACK TO WORK.

We saw Santa yesterday! my oldest didn't want to sit on his lap, but he was a good sport for his little brother. I always remember when I was little I always cried on santa's lap. Not sure why he always brought me something good, how silly! After Santa we went to friend house for games, and holiday cheer. We had a wonderful time. It was great to relax and forget about my hectic and very long "To Do List". Been soooo busy lately, with lots of stuff; Christmas shopping, designing my son's school yearbook, working on orders, to add to the list of worry, I had to take my Dad last friday for a procedure to check out his heart. No Blockage yeah! that was the best xmas gift. It is always something.. But yeah know, it is all good!!!(as my friend Tammy always says). My problems may seem big at the moment, but small to someone else. I always remind myself of that everyday.

So going to take some well deserved time off, my family will be coming in for xmas and will be staying till after New Years. They come every year and we have a big New Years party. Hope to ringin' in a Very Happy New Year to all. 2009 is going to be a great year!

A Carolina Wedding, thank you.....

I have been getting my thoughts together about how I want to say thanks to A Carolina Wedding. Since April 07, I have had an opportunity to work with a great and creative bunch of women at A Carolina Wedding. Ms Tonya let me join her store to showcase my jewelry and headpieces and it has helped me grow. While at ACW I had the chance to work with them on several fashion shows, and even got to meet a local stylist, who now comes by sometimes to borrow some of my designs with their gowns and dresses for her magazine photo shoots. But most of all I had a chance to work with the best brides in town. It has been a great & learning experience. And I will always appreciate what Ms Tonya and the staff at ACW have done for me. As with everything you hope to grow and sometimes you grow apart. So I have been fortunate to meet some fantastic people in the bridal business, before and while working downtown at ACW. Now I feel it is time to venture out on my own. With the launch of my website & etsy shop, it gives me the opportunity to work more from home and be there for my husband & kids, and it also lets me work with brides from all over the place. It has been a long day! I am so tired, but I have to finish TWILIGHT! I am enjoying it! just got to to the good part, so I can't wait to settle in for the night w/my book! My friends Nina & her daughter Katie got me hooked. Katie has seen the movie times 2 times, but she will have to see it one more time w/ME! If you have not read it yet, and you are a sucker for sappy love stories, with a touch of vampires. This is a book to read!

Something to be thankful for!

Hope everyone enjoyed there Thanksgiving Holiday! I sure did, lots of good food, good company with friend and family, and lots of good shopping! Love Black Friday Sales! I have so many things to be thankful for, most of all is MY NEW WEBSITE....It launched this week. Please check it out at http://www.joannemirandadesigns.com/ . I am so happy with it! Peter of Lazar Webscape, did a fantastic job. In the next week I will be adding even more pictures of some recent modeling shoots that show my jewelry and headpieces and recent press. Some of my designs were shown in a fashion layout in Focus on the Coast magazine, thanks to Jess James, stylist.

I am so thankful for all who has helped me too get to this point!

I am off to see my sis-in-law and neice in Long Island. I have not been there in 2years, looking forward to see lots of family and old friends. My main mission for going on this trip, which I am excited about is to help my sis-in-law buy furniture and decor for her new home. I love shopping, but I love it even more is when I spend someone elses money.....

Before I hit the airport, I am doing my last little bit of homework for my new website which should be live next week, I can not wait.....So I will be out of touch till 11/24...

I will truly miss my boys, this is the first time I have been away from them.....I love them very much, miss ya boys!.......................................TTFN:)

Mom's Surgery Went Great!

Having a Good Day so far. My moms shoulder surgery went well, and she will be going home later today. Thanks to a wonderful Dr by the name of Dr Hocker, with Atlantic Orthopedics...He has be wonderful...Now Mom is on the road to recovery, I am sure it will be a long one...but I will be there for her! As for my Dad, he has been great, he take such good care of my mom, and the rest of us. A Big Thank You goes to him, I LOVE YA DAD!
Now to other great things....the countdown to the lauch of my website has started! We are only days away, it looks FANTASTIC! I feel like I had another baby, without having the morning sickness, (well maybe a little). Once again, I have to give out a HUGE THANK YOU to Peter Lazar and to his wife Tara also. It was such a easy process to work with them, even though we don't live in the same state, (anymore)....I was fortunate to have met them many years ago, and as I always say there are reasons for everything! Good morning everyone......Today is a worrisome day, my mom is in having shoulder surgery, so I have been praying for her, she had broke her shoulder last year and this is her 2nd surg...Love you mom! Everything will be okay!
But last night I got great news, ....I am very excited my new website is almost ready to go live! Peter of Lazarwebscapes has done a fantastic job so far. I can not wait to have everyone check it out.
Still getting the hang of this blogging thing......hope ya all are patient, keep following I will be bringing a lot of great things to share on my blog, thing like my new designs, things I love in the bridal world, tips I have learned in my experiences in weddings etc. and just "stuff" about me, hope your interested....LOL! It is a raining, windy night....so I am curled up on the couch with little "max" my 1 year old yorkie-poo, he is my shadow. He is like having a baby. Today was great, family stuff. Doing some pottery with my boys, they made ornaments for our tree and they made gifts for there Aunt and cuz. Also I heard from my web designer and he is making huge progress on my website...The site will have lots of great photos of brides and models that are wearing my headpieces and jewelry. I'm so lucky to have had the support from great photographers that supplied my with the great photos. I will put together a list and post it very soon. Also I joined Facebook this week and have had a blast getting in touch with old friends and classmates. You should try it! Its easy and free.....till the next post!...........................:)

I know it has been awhile......., I just have been so busy getting my business in order. Lucky to have been working with such amazing brides, bridesmaids and mothers of brides etc...... Hi Everyone! I want to introduce myself my name is Joanne and I am a bridal jewelry designer in Wilmington NC. This is my very first blog ever, can't you tell??? Well where should I begin, I have making jewelry for about 9yrs and I sold bridal gowns for about 6 years. So I combined the two and design bridal/bridesmaid jewelry. Also I have experience in planning and directing weddings.
